Hello Ireland !

Here are some happy news for you:

A-ha's manager Brian Lane have been interviewed by Norway's best selling newspaper, VG:

A-ha has signed a multi million Euro contract. Unfortunately
I can not specify the sum, says Brian Lane

Warner has made cuts in their staff and in their priorities, while
Universal is the most successful record label in the world.

When it comes to A-ha, Universal has signed a contract that states that
A-ha will be a priority all over the world, says Brian Lane about the new
contract.

The records will be promoted everywhere and will have a heavy focus on
the USA. A-ha has been big in the USA earlier, but with the last two
albums, the focus has been in Europe. With this new contract, the focus will be on
a more global scale, explains Brian Lane.

A-ha have yet to go into studio. - The boys writes songs constantly,
but they have of course not started recording, since the new record deal
has just been signed.

With the new release on Universal, A-ha will go on a long tour in
Europe, USA, South America and the Far East

It will be a long and stressful tour for A-ha. However it's their job
and they are looking forward to it, says Brian Lane.

The boss at Warner Norway, Fred Engh says he is personally very sad.

I have been working with the boys since 1984, 20 years and they have
been one of our best selling artists. So, it's very sad for the company.

However Warner Music Norway does not have the resources to match Universals
offer and I don't think that A-ha would have been interested. They wish to
reach a larger audience.

I don't know if Warner Germany will put a better offer on the table,
says Fred Engh.
