| The house lights go down, Mags, Pal , Morten, Minor Earth Major Sky, A-ha are back once again. From the moment they walked on the stage the crowd erupted in applause although quiet unlike the days of the “Stay on these roads” tour when they had the walk the talk the look that ruled the world. Now it is the music, A-ha at it’s best. Old and new entwined to make it all different but very much the same. Mortens haunting voice, Mags still a whizz on the keyboards and Pal a genius in his own time. Hunting High and Low and The living daylights where sung by the crowd which filled the air with excitement that still lingers with me. Time and Again brought a ghostly hush through the balconies of the Royal Albert Hall and Stay on these roads was what a-ha is all about. Simple, Melodic and very interesting. Take on me had the fans jumping from there seats while many of the staff of the venue entered the room to catch a glimpse of their own memories of this eventful song. Summer Moved on…What can I say - Morten Well Done. And then it ended just as it had begun except this time the crowd where louder as the lingering notes of The sun always shines on TV faded away, and as A -ha left the stage, a glance over their shoulders confirmed it had been a successful “Sort of Homecoming”………Hold me, close to your heart…………. |
