| I'm gonna tell a bit more concerning the A-ha Brazilian tour 2002. August 14 - My friends and I found out that A-ha would arrive in Brazil on a flight coming from France. So we decided to go to the airport to welcome them - after 11 years of waiting!! We got there about 4:45 am. More fans were coming, even a girl from Argentina, and we started talking to them. The girls from Germany - JPJ (Judith Heinrich, Petra Meier, Judith Fasler) were there as well. All of us were anxious. The plane landed about 5:30 am. At 6:30 they finally appeared, Paul came first and Morten was right behind him. My friend Luciana shouted: "Welcome to Brazil again!!". They looked at us and gave a smile! As soon as Morten passed, near me, I said: "Velkommen tilbake til Brazil!!". He turned and with a cute smile in his face he said:"Thank you!". Everyone managed to have autographs and shoot pictures. I was anxious to give them the presents and I did manage to. First I gave the present to Morten (one to him and another to Tomine). He looked at me and said "Thank you" with a big smile!! ;o) We asked Morten where Mags was and he replied: "Somewhere in the airport, I don't know". Morten and Paul went towards the van. Luciana, Simone and I scorted Morten along the airport. I even said: "Lykke til i kveld!". Then they entered the van. That moment Mags appeared and got into the van. I gave the present to Mags and Paul. I took my Lifelines cover and said to Morten: "Could you autograph, vær så snill?", he autographed and I said "Takk skal du ha!", he smiled. After I took autograph from Mags and Paul. Before the security closed the door of the van my friend, Luciana, said: "See you tonight", then it was my turn: "Ser deg senere". The van kept stopping for a while and after it left to Gran Meliá Hotel. My friends and I decided to go straight to the hotel. By getting there we went towards the restaurant where breakfast was being served. We could see some guys of the crew having breakfast and Anneli Drecker as well. So we were standing close to the elevators. Suddenly one of the doors opened behind me and Morten turned up!!! We said "Hi" and he went towards the restaurant. We just saw him having breakfast at a distance. We didn't want to bother him. Then Jeomar, Luciana and I decided to stay and the others decided to leave the hotel. We came down to the lobby and waited... At 11:00 am Judith H., Petra, Judith Fasler, who were staying at the hotel, and the girl from Argentina came to talk to us. They told that Mags was at the swimming pool. So my friends and I went towards the lifts. We were waiting for it when we came across Morten leaving the lift!! We said "Hi" and asked for some autographs and to take pictures. He seemed to be in a hurry and said: "Just a moment" and he went to talk to one of the men of the crew. After he came to take pics with us (there was no one else at the hotel, just the two friends of mine and I). I thanked saying "Tusen Takk" and Morten said to me with a wonderful voice "Vær så god!". As we had left our handbags on the balcony we went to fetch them. Morten was sitting on a sofa waiting for someone of the band. In that moment, we were backward, I noticed Morten was observing us!! We turned and kept watching him as well!! ;o) Then he got up and walked out with two guys. We followed him up to the van. we took more two or three photos. He was going to Credicard Hall. We walked back to the lobby and took the lift to the swimming pool. Mags was really there taking sunbath. My friends and I sat at a table and started to talk to the German girls. They were writing the text to a-ha.com. Jeomar had gone to have his film developed. As he returned with the photos Judith Fasler saw some and chose just the photo in which Morten and I appeared together at the airport! So she asked our permission to scan it and send to a-ha.com. We left the hotel about 1:00 pm. The first night at Credicard Hall there were tables but no one liked them. Before starting the concert I met several friends of mine. At 9:30 pm the concert began and no one stayed sitting at the tables. My friend Luciana and I succeded in standing in the first row, right in front of Morten!!! The audience was great but the tables disturbed a bit. Nothing took the brightness of the concert, though... Fernanda August 15 - At 8:00 am my friends and I went to the hotel again. There we met other fans and everyone kept waiting at the lobby. About 11:00 am Paul turned up, and it was a lot of fun!! He left the elevator and saw many fans waiting. So he gave a step backward, as if he walked back to the lift. However he noticed no one had gotten up of the sofa! Then he started walking along the lobby. We approached him pretty quietly. I've never imagined Paul could be so kind and attentive! Everybody had oportunity to take pics and have autographs. While I was taking autograph on Mary's coming cover I said to him: "Great concert, Paul!!" and he answered: "Yeah!". I thanked saying "Tusen Takk" and he looked at me quite surprised! Then we sat on the sofa again. Paul sat on another one, he was talking to the guys of the band. He was really very kind and kept looking at us and smiling!! We were filmed by a guy of the crew. After some minutes Mags appeared, he said "Hi" to us. Again no one got up of the sofa. From there Paul and Mags went to Morumbi Shopping. They must really have been perplexed with our behaviour!! Some guys of the crew talked to us, mainly Torbjørn, one of the securities. He even taught me how to pronounce some sentences in Norwegian. He was very nice with us!! About 2:00 pm Mags and Paul returned to the hotel and came up to the rooms. At 4:20 pm Paul and Mags came down first. They were in a hurry because they had to leave for Credicard Hall. In that moment as there were many fans there was a certain confusion. I succeded in taking autographs from Mags on an invitation card of his 1997 exhibition. He was pretty surprised by seeing that and he even asked me if I knew Norway! I said "no" and he smiled! Yet I got one more photo with Paul. A few minutes later Morten turned up walking fast, as usual. I gave him my Poetenes cover to autograph. While he was doing that, I showed him and asked if he remembered the photo taken with him during his promotion in Brazil in 1995. He took my photo, looked at it and started laughing saying: "I saw many people!" and then I showed another photo (taken at a Brazilian Programme in 95) and said: "I was there!". He went on smiling! Paul, Mags and Anneli Drecker entered a van and Morten was in another one. A friend of mine and I stood in front of the van where Morten was. While he was signing a paper for a guy, I said: "Morten, du er mannen som jeg elsker!". He at once rose his head, looked (through the glasses) straightly at my eyes and gave a smile, as if he was saying " I understood very well what you said....". Afterwards my friend said: "Elsker deg!". He kept smiling! And the van departed to Credicard Hall. The second night at Credicard Hall was much, much better and it was crowded!!! Even Paul was more "free" trying to dance on the stage!! My friends and I stood in the second row, between Mags and Morten. You know, it was VERY GOOD seeing the smile of satisfaction on Mags's face!!! My friends and I held and swang a Brazilian flag all the time. Mags and Morten looked at us and smiled!! As they played "Scoundrel Days" and "Take on me" the crowd came in FRENZY!!! Morten, by finishing singing "Summer moved on", showed his tongue for us, as if he was tired! It was very funny!! That night was really unforgettable... August 16 - Erison, Patricia (from Recife), Luciana and I set off from São Paulo for Rio de Janeiro. We got at ATL Hall about 7:30 pm. There was already a queue. We talked to other fans a bit and I found two friends of mine, Paulo and Fabíola, who were there. This time the concert began quite late. Paulo, Luciana, Fabíola and I succeded in standing in the second row, pretty close to the stage and right in front of Morten (again!). I heard all the tickets were sold - ATL Hall was really CROWDED!!! The concert was gorgeous!!! It happened a funny thing during the concert, Morten left the microphone to fall down on the stage - he was slightly embarrassed, looked at us and gave a grin smile!! And my friends and I noticed Morten kepting staring at us several times!! ;o) Mags during the song "The living ..." said in Portuguese: "Come on, Penta Campeão!!". Everybody came in FRENZY!! It was also an UNFORGETTABLE concert..... |
